Connection methods of stainless steel pipe fittings and their respective advantages and disadvantages

There are many connection methods for stainless steel pipe fittings, the mainstream ones are press connection, ring pressure connection, flange connection, groove connection, welding connection and taper thread connection. They have their own advantages and disadvantages, and it is necessary to find a suitable method in the actual situation.
Press-fit connection
The connection principle of this method is to use hydraulic pliers to clamp the stainless steel pipe fittings on the pipe, and at the same time use an O-ring to achieve the water-stop effect, so as to have a connection effect. Although this method is easy to operate, the pipe wall is very thin, the connection strength is only about one-third of the pipe body, and the pipe cannot be disassembled. It is easy to leak.
Ring pressure connection
The principle of ring pressure connection is to use hydraulic pliers to clamp the stainless steel pipe fittings on the pipe, and use a wide band rubber sealing ring to stop the water, so as to achieve a good connection effect. Because this method has one more pressing pit than the pressing type, the connection strength is slightly stronger than that of the pressing type. In addition, because the pressing pit is annular, the tube is easy to rotate, which will affect the overall sealing effect.
Flange connection
The principle of flange connection is to use tightening bolts to connect two connectors with flange sheets, and then seal the plane sealing sheets to achieve the corresponding connection effect. The advantage is that the connection strength is high quality and stable, and the installation is easy and detachable, but the disadvantage is that the cost of the flange is relatively high.
Groove connection
The principle of this method is to use the tightening nut of the pipe fitting, press the stainless steel pipe and the pipe fitting with the convex ring axially, and then use the conical sealing ring to stop the water, so as to achieve the connection effect. The advantage is that it can be disassembled, but the disadvantage is that the process of rolling the concave ring at the pipe end is added during the installation process, the cost of the cast clamp is relatively high, and it cannot be used in pipelines with negative pressure.
Solder connection
The connection principle of this method is to directly weld the two connectors through a hot-melting process to achieve the connection. The advantage is that the connection strength is high, but the disadvantage is that the gas protection of the welding seam of the field welding port is difficult to meet the standard, and the welding seam is easy to rust, which will reduce the service life of the pipeline, and the installation quality largely depends on the skill of the welder. level, so the quality stability is not high.
Cone and thread connection
The connection principle of this method is to directly tighten the stainless steel pipe fittings, tighten the two connecting pieces of the inner and outer interfaces with conical pipe threads, and use the pressure of the connection thread to achieve the sealing effect, thereby completing the connection. The advantages are that it is easy to disassemble, the strength of the connection port reaches the strength of the pipe body, the installation is convenient and simple, the quality is reliable and stable, and the wall of the pipe fittings is thin, resulting in low cost. If the liquid raw material tape is used, it can basically ensure that the interface will not leak water for a long time.
